Drill and Blast Estimator

Headquartered in Australia, Perenti has operations and offices in 13 countries across four continents, employs around 8,000 mining professionals and is creating enduring value and certainty for clients on some of the world's largest mining projectsAs part of the Perenti group, Ausdrill are seeking an experienced Drill and Blast Estimator to join the team at our Canning Vale office.As the Estimator, you will be responsible for formulating budgets, proposals, methodologies and conceptual estimates for various construction, engineering and mining projects.The key functions of the role will include but not limited to: Preparation and submission of tenders, budget prices, variations and expressions of interest. Liaising with Ausdrill management and Clients on all pricing related issues as they arise. Ensure all QA documentation is correct and filed accordingly. Demonstrate leadership and commitment to company continuous improvement. Maintain high level of communication.Review bid documentsDefine methodologies.Estimate productivities, equipment and manpower requirementsEstimate capital and operating costs, from first principles.Schedule estimates, projects and resources.Preparation and maintenance of tender documents including contract language.Conduct site visits as requiredPerformance analysis for tasks within the mining cycle.Liaison with industry suppliers to maintain current price database. Key RequirementsMinimum 7 years’ experience in Mining industry Skilled and often certified in professional engineering principles and methods. Minimum 3 years’ experience directly related to contract estimating, or Demonstrated understanding of project costs and operating performance. Current Relevant State/Territory Driver’s License Degree qualification or technical diploma in mining engineering. Computer skills Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point Industry research protocols, (Internet) Effective oral and written communication skills. What we can offer:A permanent full-time roleCompetitive salary with 10% superannuation, employee incentives, benefits, and rewards programAn opportunity to be part of a global company, entering a growth phasePlease note: while this role is Perth based, occasional travel to site is required.We believe our people are our greatest asset, and we are committed to providing a supportive and collaborative work environment where our people can develop, both personally and professionally.
